The New Outdoor Journeys App

The Outdoor Journeys app is a free platform for learners and educators to use on their journeys. The app allows interactive journeys to take place between students and teachers irrespective of physical proximity. Through incorporating features such as chat and questioning, image sharing, and GPS features, the new app is a helpful companion on any outdoor journey.

The app can now be downloaded at Apple’s App Store or on GooglePlay.

If you are ready to get started, just email Simon directly to create a teacher account: simon.beames@nih.no

Then follow these steps:

1.  Have your students download the Outdoor Journeys app on GooglePlay or Apple’s App store.

2. As the teacher, you go to https://teacher.outdoorjourneys.io/ and login.  Your ID is your email address and you will be sent a password, if you have emailed for teacher access. Google Chrome is the best internet browser to use.

3. To help get your first journey set up, download the Outdoor Journeys app guidance document for teachers here.

4. When your journey is ready, you can download and share the Outdoor Journeys app guidance document for students here.
